Empowering Women of Nepal

Empowering Women of Nepal (EWN) is a non-governmental organization that was founded by 3 sisters (Lucky, Dicky and Nicky Chhetri), pioneers in the promotion of female trekking guides in the Himalayas. The organization's goal is to improve the lives of disadvantaged women in Nepal. EWN and 3 Sisters Adventure Trekking work in partnership to promote and empower women through adventure tourism. Together they combine practical skill-based training programs with gainful employment opportunities. Their main goal is to encourage women to become self-supportive, independent, decision-making women."

We have good news about the "Nepalese Women Annapurna Expedition 2011". The Annapurna Expedition went very well. All four women reached the summit, and it is one of the huge success program of EWN at the moment. We are really proud of them! This added another record of first Nepalese women climbers in Annapurna Mountains. This National Program was organized by EWN and 3sisters with the support of the government and other local organizations.
